Standing at the threshold
“Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” Luke 1.45 Mary and Elizabeth found that waiting and hastening, pondering and acting, are not distinct from one another, but are rhythms of a whole life, knit together in the fullness of God’s time. God’s kingdom is coming soon, and even now we are caught up in it as he works out his purposes in our lives.
