Holy Baptism is the sacrament by which God adopts us as his children and makes us members of Christ’s body, the Church, and inheritors of the kingdom of God. Baptism has been a foundation for the Christian life since Christianity first began.
Confirmation is the rite of passage for Christians who are ready to express a mature commitment to Christ and to receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop. Adults who wish to recommit themselves to their faith are also invited to receive a blessing from the bishop through the Reaffirmation of Faith.
