Looks can be deceiving. That’s why we need a shepherd king, just like those in the ancient world who came before us. Someone trustworthy we can follow when our senses fail us, and we can’t interpret what we see. That’s why we need Jesus, the Good Shepherd, in whom God’s Spirit dwells, to show us the signs of his kingdom and transform our hearts.
