Jesus sends his disciples as heralds of the best news ever: The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand! New life is here! All that has gone wrong is being set right. Everything that is broken is being made new. Everything sad is being undone. God’s rescue plan is finally here. And our lives, with their confusion, sadness, and brokenness, they’re finally being made coherent. We’re finally being given lives that make sense.
