On Bach and Hesed
The story of Ruth is set in “the days when the judges ruled.” These were desperate days, when everyone did what was right in their own eyes, and the very fabric of society was ripped apart. Yet, even then, hope remains. When the people of God choose, like Ruth, to reflect the character of God in their most immediate and intimate relationships, there will always be hope.
