Celebrating the baby in the manger who also quenched the fires of hell
This morning we come to celebrate together the birth of a child, the newborn kind. We celebrate the sure hope that as this child, Jesus, takes his place as king, everything that has gone wrong will be made right, and everything that has broken will be made new. Suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors! Luke 2.13-14
