The Good Scandal
Who doesn’t love a good scandal? 2000 years after it happened, we still talk about the dinner party where Mary of Bethany anointed the living Jesus for burial, a scandal of immense proportions. Yet, Mary’s action points beyond itself to the even greater scandal: in a few short days, the Lord will die upon the Cross. Mary offers herself in worship to the One who will offer his own life for us all.
