Donna & Paul Long
I think it is safe to say that our family has found a home at St. Paul’s. We were reasonably connected to our last church, but we can’t imagine changing churches now. We are family!
Both of our daughters were married at St. Paul’s. Our son made Eagle Scout through First Methodist, and there was an excellent, full-page article in the paper. That next Sunday, the piece was pinned to the bulletin board in the Parish Hall. Lastly, while I was in Erlanger Hospital recovering from an accident, we received a pile of cards from fellow parishioners. Needless to say, we were moved to tears.
Donna taught Sunday School years ago, and I am an usher, member of the “sound crew” and have worked on Habitat for Humanity projects. All these ministries have blessed us in one way or another.
We give to St. Paul’s because we feel that the Church is accountable, and truly does its best to be a good steward of the gifts that we provide. We have been pledgers since the days of the “Saddle Bags.”
“Grant us, that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life.” Luke 1:74-75 RSV
