A Saint, a Wheelchair, and a Gas Can

We look back, remembering those saints who inspire us onward in our faith – whether the unnamed saint who lifted himself into his wheelchair to help a stranded motorist, or the Saints known who persevered in their faith despite the persecutions and disappointments that shook the foundations of their world.

We look also forward to the end time when, as we are promised in the Revelation of John, we are “before the throne of God, and worship him day and night.” We, too, are the ones also who are called to the foot of God’s throne, called to his altar, to turn our faces toward him in praise. Even now, God calls us to discover the wellspring of joy and the fullest expression of the goodness with which he created us, as we worship him.
