“I Need Help”
What does it take for us to ask for help? When we are confronted with circumstances that are beyond our capacity to figure out or muscle through. For this anonymous, Greek woman, it took a daughter who was desperately sick. As she comes to Jesus, she enacts the very form of lament that God’s people have been called to throughout the ages, a form that persists even when God seems absent or indifferent
