Take Root: Community Building for Supportive Housing
At St. Paul’s on February 12, we are hosting, for the first time ever, a community-wide fundraising luncheon to benefit The Journey Home’s (TJH) Supportive Housing Program. While TJH’s Supportive Housing Program has been in existence for more than 10 years, and currently has 25 housing units filled, the need for permanent supportive housing continues to grow.
At the luncheon, you’ll hear the personal story of Kathy Izard, author of “The Hundred Story Home,” and how Kathy answered a call to become a community leader in creating permanent supportive housing for many people who were homeless in Charlotte, NC.
While there is no charge to attend the luncheon catered by Five Senses, we will accept donations that day to expand TJH’s Supportive Housing Program, which is expanding and is in need of more funding. Please join us! To reserve your seat call or text TAKE ROOT to 615.236.6090 or visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/82209076561.
