Hazardous Saints: Christians Risking All, Changing Everything

  Get Directions

The great saints of the Church serve as examples of lives perfected by the love of Christ. They illustrate how to really live and how to really die. They consistently point to the love of God that leads to our fulfillment of God’s children. During this adult Christian education class, we will explore the lives of six Christian “saints” who risked all for the sake of the gospel. Like Jesus, all of these saints were change-agents in their time.

  • Barnabas: The Subversive Bridge-Builder
  • Francis of Assisi: The Lovable Rebel
  • Thomas Cranmer: The Tightrope Walker
  • Dorothy Day: The Idealistic Realist
  • Oscar Romero: The People’s Voice
  • Sojourner Truth: The Persevering Prophet

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith.” Hebrews 12:1-2a
